Does cigarette smoke enter the water of the fish tank. I have an aerator with an air filter connection; will this work or should i just leave the aerator off? How bad will it affect the fish? On another note can u kill a fish by getting it high (feeding or blowing pot smoke in the tank)?
First obviously I’m talking about my fish it says so in my ? Its not like I sit and blow cig smoke into my tank. And my fish are not my children they are animals which I take good care of and is why I’m asking the question. As for the pot smoke question I know someone who sits and blows hits threw his aerator tube; that obviously affects the water but doesn’t seem to affect the fish; wasnt sure though.
My roommates constantly smoked weed in the livingroom with 2 decent sized fish tanks in it. Neither one seemed to have any noticable health problems from it. Strangely, they wouldn’t smoke cigarettes in the house, so I don’t know how that works out. Considering all of the tar and crap that will accumulate on the cieling from cigarette smoke, I can’t imagine it would be that good for your fish.
Its probably not a great idea if you have fish you want to keep for a long time. If their disposable like guppies, who cares, but I don’t think you’d want to subject a nice big fish like an oscar (the type you can get attached to) to that sort of thing.

As a former Training Supervisor, when I interviewed personnel for training positions I would:
1. Verify the prospective candidate KNEW the position in which the candidate was applying for the Training position backwards and forward,
2. The candidate could communicate well on all levels,
3. The candidate displayed a demeanor of patience (as training is not as easy as some would think in terms of patience),
4. The candidate displayed personal traits of honesty, trustworthiness, loyalty.
These are just a few of the attributes I looked for, when you go into your interview, don’t be anyone but yourself, be loose, laugh, be respectful, ask questions and by all means, DO NOT TRY TO CONTROL THE CONVERSATION. This turns management off tremendously, I know as I have refused promotions for this one reason alone.
Hope this helps and GOOD LUCK….training positions can be a challenge but I always found them to be a lot of fun!!!!
As a parent of 2 teenage daughters, I hear the frustration they share with “rigged class elections, popularity vs. content, etc.” within their own peer elections. I worry that our youth is missing the truth and honor of “personal integrity” and need to learn democratic integrity first from their parents and then from public role models such as teachers, community leaders and elected officials.
The democratic process should begin in the home with active parenting; not passive or dictactorship styles. Active parenting provides a forum to share and to hear ideas, solutions, praise, criticism, etc. as well as an understanding that one’s ideas should always be heard, considered and respected, but not necessarily always taken. This foundation then naturally expands into school where teachers may mirror this type of democratic atmoshere. Additionally, I feel more demonstrative practice is needed within the school system in order for our youth to understand the democratic process on a personalized local level. Washington is far away; OUR community is right in front of us.
One solution may be to link community leaders with schools and to openly invite ideas, internship-for-a-day programs or other activities that marry “the process” with a reality that children understand. If the democratic process is understood and actively demonstrated locally then a national understanding is more easily comprehended.
Of course all ages need to be engaged with this process. If we educate and engage at a younger age, it is a natural concequence that the democratic process will continue well into young adulthood and beyond. The age of 18 gives our youth the right to vote and to be a legal adult; if their upbringing engaged the democratic process, then our Leaders-of-Tomorrow will continue and expand the democratic process.
